When will the Asia Cup 2022 begin? When is the Asia Cup? The final match of the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) annual cricket competition will take place in September 2022, just months before the start of that year’s winter Olympics in Beijing, which will be from February 4-20, 2023. There have been 14 ACC Asia Cups since its inaugural tournament in 1984, when it was known as the Asian Cricket Council Trophy. The current champion is Afghanistan, who defeated India in 2018 by two wickets to claim their first major global trophy since gaining Test status two years prior.
